cdr dvd copy

Is there any way or program to allow my hp 9100 series cd writer to read dvd movies for dvd copying. I have heard that this might be possible but have yet to find a program capable of allowing this, please help.

You really are suffering from 'ravingdementia' aren't you?
There is NO way a sane person could possibly believe that a mere cd-rom could read DVD!

don't listen to that moron! its a valid question for a newbie.DVDs can only be read by DVD roms.and the only way to copy them are by DVDwriters,or decrypting the VOB files and copying them to your hard drive then burning them to disk, for more info go to the top of this page and click on cdmediaworld, then on dvd links this should help.
