Max Payne

I have a real problem with my Max Payne. I tried to burn it about 2 weeks ago just to make a copy for myself, and then right after when it wouldn't burn, I tried to play it. The starting jpeg came up like usual and then nothing. The game doesn't start up or anything. I got the demo and it worked just fine so I know that it is in the cd. Could someone please answer this question for me because I would really like to get back to killing some people. Thanks
