diablo 2

please help me, i dont know how to apply a patch or archive a patch, i have tried to play my diablo 2 game w/o cd. i know these questions are probably dumb but i have already tried about 10 times. i hope u can help. i d/l Diablo 2 v1.05b Patch to my desktop and then put it in diablo2 and removed the exe copied the music and it still wont work. i have version 1.0 us.

Sorry, dude !! I am not quite sure which patch you mean.
There is an official patch 1.05b for diablo 2, which can be found at the developers-site. Download and execute it and from then on your version of Diablo2 is 1.05
Then you have to download the patch/gamefix v1.05b for your version.

If you didn't apply the OFFICIAL patch 1.05b, then you have d/led the wrong gamefix.
You should try the gamefix for v 1.0 (us). (at gcw!)

If you are not sure how to handle the patch, just read the text which is written under the d/l-link.

i can now play the game but battle net doesnt recognize my version what should i do

I have never tried bat.net, but there are fixes for that on gcw. Not sure whether they work or not.

I think you have to use an official update before you can use the bat.net-fix, as the only versions of game-fixes I know are for v1.04 and up.

Just give it a try.
