Mech warrior 4 ???

Sorry but I am new to this. I recently got a burner and I am trying to copy my version of mech 4 for back up. It says to move the file mw4.exe and replace it with a patch. I have a file mw4.icd in the game. I have a panasonic (matshita cw-7586 burner). I dont quite understand how to move the file over also, so if someone has a minute......or two...to give me a hand, I would appreciate it. fourmilelakers**********com also.
