i have tried the patch exe file that is available here. and the game works, but not on line. when you try to connect you get a message that the "your version of the game is either out of date or invalid do you want to update", then you click ok and says your game is up to date, but still does not work. has anybody had any success in either the patch or cloning a cd to work online with nascar 4.

some games do this, the game check to see if its running from a modified exe, if it is then it won't work. I got a similar message when doing the same thing with Gunman Chronicles.

ughhh...thanks for the response, this is a pain in the ass.. i bought the dam game but i just don't want to use the original cd.. i know it will get screwed up..so you have had no success neither huh..

only other way to get around this is to use Daemon Tools, make an image of the game and use daemon to play it. This way you have a exact perfect copy and you'll be able to play it online.
