PS2 SCPH-30001 Question!!

Hello, I am really new to this stuff, but I am very familar with PS1 modding. I want a MOD Chip that will allow me to play CDR backups and DVDR backups of PS2 games. But I have heard that in order to burn a PS2 game that is a DVD game you need to have a DVD burner. So GTA3 is a DVD game? I am sort of confused. So in order for me to make a copy of GTA 3, I need a DVD ROM Drive and make a copy like that, or can I copy GTA 3 on my CDRW drive?

Thanks
Joe

GTA3 is a DVD game. To copy it properly you'll need a DVD Burner (Pioneer A03). You can also rip the DVD via a DVD-ROM onto CD via a complex method. This has been done to death on the forum and you would need to search on the keywords DVD RIP GTA3 and proceed (or not) on the basis of what you read.

Bear in mind that for rips to get down to CD size you will have to:

Remove movies/clips (might be important ones)
Downsample movies you know are need
Remove sound tracks
