need some advice from somebody...please!

Hello out there:
Happy New year to you all..
Anyway I been burning backup of my PSX1 games no problem
Just got the PSX2 and can't seem to backup my games???
I have a yamaha 16/10/40 crw2100EDK Atapti(E-IDE) drive.
ok, first question...Is this burner ok to use? If not what do you recommend?
Second question is...Are there any links on how to burn PSX2 backups?
I'm sure these questions have been answered before but I been searching the forum and can't find the answers I need.
Is it even possible to burn the new games(PSX2)at all?
Thanks in advance to those kind souls who take the time out to help the village idiot.
Happy Trails to you all.......
