I can't get Dance Dance Revolution to copy!

Whenever I try to make a backup of it, it looks like it copies fine. When I get to the main menu, it's still fine. But when I try to pass the main menu, the game doesn't proceed. It doesn't freeze because I can still reset the game with the controller. Which patch should I use??? Or am I doing something wrong in the copying process? I am using nero for this. I am also using an NTSC version.
