A new ? 4 the masters on crashbash!!!!

I have finally had success backing up Crash Bash with CDRWIn and a patch. (YAY!!) The first time i tried to back it up though i used Clonecd, with the settings set exactly as explained by the master burners on this forum. My burner is compatiable with Clonecd and i only used the burner to read and write. It did not work though,WHY?
(thi is for the PAL version).........
