A question about how to use NTSC-PAL patches

Hi from Spain,

I have a PAL PS2 with modchip. Suppose the following situation:

Somehow I obtain a back-up of an USA NTSC game, say Crazy Taxi. Just it as it is won't work in my PAL console as a regular PAL back-up, right?

I guess I have to use the NTSC-PAL patch for Crazy Taxi that's available in this site, burning another back-up of it with CDRWIN, patched, and use it as I would use a PAL back-up.

Now the true important question:

Will the game play at 60 Hz (my TV is compatible) and full screen? All PAL games have only 50 Hz mode, with black strips. I won't to know if that way I can play it at full range.

Thanks again,

Dani
