its easy ....when it freezes just press eject
the eject again to reinsert the disk ..wait a few seconds then you will hear the disk start spining..and it will unfreeze itself..if it doesent work first time just try again....it works its a problem most people have but is easy to sort out

My copy does this also... freezes after a game when you go to restart.

Ejecting and reinserting the CD doesn't work

Anybody found a way around this yet ?

I had the same problem, and ejecting had no effect whatsoever (I listened to the drive, and the laser made a few whirring noises, then the disc stopped spinning).

I'm just about to apply a patch in the hope that it behaves better with normal boot (I was using EA boot with neo2 and ExtremeFM).

I tried that also, applied a patch, using the Dummy File and 2SPPatcher.exe method.

Same problem.

Also tried reading/writing at various speeds, including 1x

Didn't work for me
