Ea games ps2 (Fifa 2001)

i have a ps2 with a mod chip and extreme fm. unfortunatly my lazer is a bit dodgy so i have to boot the extreme fm disc up first with an original game. so therefor it means i can not do the swap trick. somebody told me there is a patch out there for all Ea games that lets you load them with-out Ea method, does anybody know of this or any web site where i may be able to find it.
