The best chip out at the moment is the NEO 2 chip available at www.pmcmodchips.com

Basically it u need to solder it into your ps2, so a small amount of soldering knowledge is useful. (although u can buy ps2's pre-chipped)

It works using the swap trick, where u put in an original as a boot disk, get to the protection detection screen, swap the disk with the copy and then the copy should run.

As of yet there are no chips that work without using the swap trick although i have heard that there are some smaller groups working on a new chip that involves no swapping which might be worth waiting 4.

It works with all back up games, but u need to follow a set of different instructions to get ea (electronic arts) games to run and that's basically all u need to know.

hope that helps,

correction - u put in an ACTION REPLAY 2 cd as the start up disc, not a ps2 orginal - sorry i was thinking of the ps1 swap trick, my mistake (this is for use with the NEO 2 chip btw)
