Can A DVD PS2 be backed up to HDD with DVD Rom?

Is it possible to copy a DVD Ps2 game to a HDD as an ISO??? Everytime I use my DVD Rom and try, it either makes a file a fraction of the actual size or cannot read the DVD...I'm using a Pioneer DVD 303R that can read SubChannel Data...Is ripping this possible with any software? Or Maybe Re-creating the Mode 2 format after "Copying" the files to the HDD??? Any ideas?
