crash bash how

I've tried to copy crash bash to disc using cdrwin i then install the patch using ppf o matic 2 it says it's patched i burn to disc. but when i come to play it in the psx it freezes on the start of the game, the patch is on the start of the cd but after that nothing, i've tried reading and writing at various speeds but still the same. please help someone out there.

Is there a possibility that the laser slides on the PSX may be worn?
You can check by placing the PSX on its side or even upside down to see if the game then runs.

tried that bot ck but this dont work, any other game i copy plays fine any other ideas
and dont smoke too much o that weed stuff

Ok what is the burner you are trying to do this with and have you already burnt other games that require patching?
I have a friend who has his PSX games sorted depending on how his PSX must be placed to run them.
On their left side, right side and upside down - they do not all exhibit the exact same type of failure.

I use various methods to burn cdrwin,fireburner and clone cd , i haven't been succesful at patching crashbash or hogs o war, even though ebry time it tells me its patched succesful and on the cd in the psx it says its patched.

if i insert the copy cd after the original has got past the start it works fine so i know its copied but i cant get past the start on either of these games.
hope you can help and cheers for the response.
