People With SCPH-1000 and MOD CHIP ---- READ PLEEZE!

I have an SCPH-10000 and have been using the manual swap trick with the Utility Disc to play my cd-r backups....I recently installed a mod chip and my cd-r's dont work in it every time. They only work about 10% of the time. The Utility Disc ejects automatically like it should and then I put in my CD-R but it usually just makes noise and says no data....sometimes it will work. I was doing to adjust my laser but I shouldnt have to because they were working when I did the swap manually??? I am STUCK...PLEEEEZE help me hehe. laters.
