how do i figure out if i need ntsc or pal?

im new to this and iam very confused how do i know if i need ntsc or pal? where can i find this out? any help would be soo greatly appreciated

if your in america or japan u will probably need ntsc otherwise try pal

if u play a ntsc game and its in black and white then u need pal and vice versa
