NCAA onine probs

I have a copied version of NCAA2K2. Everything works fine except for the online mode. Whenever I try to enter a lobby for a certain city it takes a while and then some blurred words come up, then it takes me out into the list of lobbies. Is this because my game is copied and somethings wrong? I hope there is a patch or something so I can fix this, cuz I really wanna play online.
