Something a bit odd, with my MvC2 CD.

OK, my friend got me a copy of Marvel vs Capcom 2 on a CD-R disc. I can make an exact copy of this game just fine. But if I take all the files on the CD put them on my harddrive and then try to burn it again the CD doesn't work on my DC. I don't need a Utopia Boot CD, the game is self booting, can anyone just explain to me why I can't take the files off the CD to my harddrive and then reburn it?

If you copy the files from the backup and burn a new disc, guess what - IT IS NOT a bootable disc, and unless it's Mode-2 (and possibly other settings I don't recall), it won't even work with the boot-disc.

Try that disc using the Utopia boot-disc. It might actually work.

For further info on burning self-boot DC discs (from a directory full of files), check out the Echelon self-boot tutorial on http://www.dccopyworld.com (the third button at the top of this page).
