Dreamcast Console Problem

I've been having problems recently with my DC, the problem is it stopped picking up any type of game I tried to play. It would keep saying insert game disc. So I applied pressure to the lid that opens and closes ontop of the DC to see if it made any difference. When I did this the game picked right up. Now when i Play my DC i have to sit a couple of movies ontop of it for it to read the data. Is there anyway to fix this? I looked and I couldn't find any screws to tighten up the hood latch with. Also Theres a little give when the lid is closed all the way. Is this normal? its not firmly shut.

stick the movies to the lid so you don't have to go looking round for them everytime
