MAMECE or XMAME on Dreamcast

Hi all, I've got a pretty broad problem that I'm sure has been approached a thousand times, so please don't smack me. I'm trying to get a version of MAME running on the Dreamcast, but I'm not having much luck. The original plan was to try to get MAMECE3 running under the DC's WinCE environment, but someone informed me that many of my troubles were due to different libraries. (MAMECE3's website is ####://www.mameworld.net/mamece3/, if anyone's interested in looking) Anyway, that was just one explanation someone provided for me, if anyone knows how to import libraries, please share. I'm still more of a novice than anything when it comes to Windows dev.

At any rate, I quickly switched to Plan B, which was using the Linux kernel for Dreamcast (####://www.linuxdc.org/), along with XMAME (####://x.mame.net/). Sounds good, right? Well... Let's factor in that I got a C- in UNIX programming. I'm having absolutely no luck getting this duo of software to run together.

Anyway, back to the request at hand. If anyone has any idea where I might look for assistance, that'd be fantastic. Also, if anyone would like to help personally, I'd greatly appreciate it!

Thanks for reading!!
