I'm still having a problem with broadband adapte..more help please
I can't get it to upload to my comoputer. I followed the instructions on xena's site but it won't connect. I tried pinging it but it couldn't find it does anyone know how to solve this problem. I would also like to appologize for my recent post about swearing and calling you all geeks. The only reason i did that because no one ever answers my questions. Let alone look at them.

Are you sure that the Cat-5 cable you are using is a cross-over one?
Use a multi-meter in continuity mode to ##### the pin connections. If pin 1 - pin 1, pin2 - pin2 etc then you do not have a cross-over and you would get the thing to work unless you are connecting through a hub. Use the 192.168.0.100 ip disk in the DC and switch on. After afew seconds, if you have the right connections the light on the back of your network card should come on without you doing anything else. If that isn't happening, you either have the wrong lead, you haven't set your network card in your PC up correctly or you adapter is faulty (most liely one of the first two)..Are you getting this far ? |
