Sacred underworld problem

I updated sacred Underworld no the new patch 2.28 but now the game runs pretty fast. The enemies move like crazy and my life got low with a few hits before the patch wasn't that way. In a way similar when DOS games run pretty fast on more recent computers what can I do to fix this?
