Crysis 1.2.1 Problem
Bought the game a few months ago...Cool game, nice graphics...Hardly playable at High details...Until the 1.2 patch got released....Then i could play it at high detalils...However 3 days ago the 1.2.1 patch got released and i installed it....so i got the disc out of the drive and tried to run the game since in GameCopyWorld they say that the x64 .exe has no protection...But it does....And now i cant play the damn game if i dont put the disc into the drive every single time.....Are they dumb ? How could the x64 .exe be unprotected ? In any case i am playing it now with the disc in the drive but if anyone knows of a way or of an 1.2.1 fixed exe i would appreciate the help.

I think the reason for people saying that the 64-bit main executable was/is unprotected is that cracker groups didn't include a crack for it in their releases; I guess, most of them didn't give a shit about it, perhaps they didn't even have the necessary OS installed (?). However, some proper cracks did include the 64-bit executable, too, so it does seem to be protected.
My recommendation: get back to the 1.2 patch (and crack).

From the Battery NFO file:
Note: This patch contained no protected 64bit exe, so only the 32bit crack is included. |

So the fix applied only to the 32bit version ? Weird stuff people.

... but Vitality's crack for version 1.2 does contain a 64-bit executable. And there were separate cracks, released afterwards, for version 1.0, too. Hmmm...

[!] SecuROM Detected - Version 07.36.0007 - Scan Took : 0.610 Seconds This was the unrar'd patch, not installed! So it looks like both 32 and 64 bit versions are protected? They probably missed the crysis.exe1 file in the patch!! You don't really need this patch unless you're a MP freak! Last edited by BarryB; 21-03-2008 at 06:51. |

I don't know if anyone's still interested, but the 1.2.1 patch does not update the x64 exe, so the x64-crack for v1.2 still works after updating.
