Question DVDXCopy Query

I want to back up a Kiss DVD (I can hear all the sniggers thanks). It is a double feature so I can't fit it on one disk even with DVD2One, I have tried several methods.

If I use DVDXcopy is there any way I can manually remove the Insert Disk Two message so the back up is effectively two complete DVD's on their own?

I know I'm being fussy but I'd be interested to know if it's possible in any event.

Thanks for any replies

This guide is for removing the "backup" screen you get with dvds burned with dvdxcopy. It should work for removing the please insert disc 2 screen too. Check it out here

Thanks Bighap

I have used it to remove the backup warning (read self serving message) before, but I wasn't aware that it could work for the end of disk message.

Are you speaking from experience or is it an educated guess?

I've never used dvdxcopy to back up to two disks (too pricey in Oz) so I have no idea what usually happens at the end of disk one

You will get a screen that says "please insert disc 2" Never tried removing things cause I could care less about the screen, but you can remove anything you want using those tools used in the tutorial I mentioned above. You do know that dvdxcopy usualy ends up having to split 1 dvd into 2 right? So if you have 2 discs, this will likely require 4 discs to backup. If this is the case, rip your dvd using dvd decoder or smart ripper and then use the tutorial to remove what you want. Then use dvd2one. And repeat for the second disc. That way you only use 2 discs total. You might want to look at this guide too. I don't think it is worth the hastle but whatever tickles your fancy.

Thanks BH.

I'm pretty much a meat and potatoes man myself.

I use DVDxCopy for most kids movies coz they fit on one disk without the frills.

DVD2One I use for the rest - not that I back them up much. I can trust myself to handle my disks carefully
