help me please

if i have a dvd drive and a normal burner do i have to burn differentley to the other ppl with a normal cdrom and a burner. if so who do i do it.

You would treat your DVD drive as if it were a normal CDrom drive as it is just as well or reading data unless it is a 1st generation drive as these seemed to struggle a little bit with data
