CTR stress

Ok,Hi all,
Read a few posts about patching crash team racing but nothing seems to help.

Copied image using cdrwin-no problems
Downloaded patch 1 'pdx-ctrc' paradox protection fix-no problem
Used PPF-o-Matic,loaded in patch and bin file-no problem
When asked to execute, it said the bin file was a differet size than what the patch was looking for ??????
Tried it with patch 2 'Kal-ctrc' same message.
Tried 3rd patch BS-ctr and was told the patch had been succesful.I was lied to.Protection still there???????
Totally confused!!!!!!!!!
What am I doing wrong???????
FYI,The burner Isn't a philips It's Sony cdrw crx 100e
Am I right to use ppf-o-matic, not sure about how to do it in MS-dos.

have you not try cd clone (no patches req'd with it on all games if its 100% compatible) as i think most all sony cdrw are compatible with cd clone you need it to read sudchannel data & audio & write don't repair data if it can its ok

Sorry everyone,my fault.
I left the 'read raw sectors' box unclicked when making the image.
This makes the bin file a different size.
Oh well a lesson well learnt on this rocky road of copying.
