psx back ups

although i have a chipped psx i was wondering why you cant play back ups on a normal psx as i backed up lion king and silent hill without any patches or anything as you can probably tell i am new to all this thanks

THERE IS SOME KIND OF CODE THAN IS PUT ON THE DISC WHEN MADE THAT A REGULAR BURNER CAN NOT BURN.
