I have heard a few people talk of a program called clone cd, and the fact that you do not need to patch cd's when using it! how does this work and anyone know where i can get a copy of it... any help is appreciated thanx.

Actually you do have to patch the game before you burn it. But this is the only program that will work with my system!! I can tell you that!!! On a side note does anyone know if the actual unlocked/regestered program works the same as the demo.... I only ask because I have heard that you should burn at 2x speed and I do with the demo and it works fine but I have a 12/10/32 and I want to get the most out of it and (meaning I would like to burn at 12x or 10x or 8x).... So if anyone has bought the program and it works for them please either email me ([email protected]) or reply to this!!!!!!!

if you reg then you can burn max and read max i use the plextor too and it workes fine at max
and no you donīt have too patch any game when making a backup with clone cd trust me
the big prob is that you have too have supported cd-r like plextor 121032 or most of the sony cd-rīs
if you do have the clone then you can check if your cd-r is supported by clicking the read and burn icon then click the infobutton at the bottom at the window beside the burn button

It also works with any Acer writer as well. Some "tested" writers are listed on their site, but I thought it might work (since my Acer wasn't listed) so I tried it and fortunately it did. Also, if it is a protected cd that detects Mod Chips or Plug Mods, then you will still need a patch to fix that, regardless if you use CloneCD.

burning speed

what speed is the right speed to burn at? that will not give you any problems and no skips etc..

i always burn at 2x or 4x because i'm scared of those kind of problems. i got a 16x10x40x burner and do you think i can MAX without any problems?

he just wants the serial not the whole disk. he should be able to find a place to download the program, if he didn't download it already.

Burn
Yeah someone answer D3V1L B0Y's question please:

"what speed is the right speed to burn at? that will not give you any problems and no skips etc..
i always burn at 2x or 4x because i'm scared of those kind of problems. i got a 16x10x40x burner and do you think i can MAX without any problems? "

I currently have a Plextor 8/4/32Ti,(550mhzAMDcpu, 128mb ram, 30gigQuantum7200Fireball Plus LM, if this stuff matters), I currently use Imations 80min/700mb 12x and FujiFilms 80min/700mb(TaiyoYuden's if it matters). I currently use CloneCD and settings for each game from CloneCDDatabase.

I've been told to read the game to an image file at 1x for the highest quality and then burn it no higher than 2x? Someone clarify this for me. Does it quality matter what speed I read to an image file on the hard drive? I know the burning is the important part when it comes to quality.

I had my Plextor for about 2 month now but I might get my hands on a Iomega 12x10x32x Internal EIDE w/Burnproof drive so I can use my pc during these slow read and writes. I want quality (HIGHQUALITY<--o------------>SPEED), perfection I guess. I need to get my hands on a customized 2x2x1x w/burnproof.
