Read that for all your probs....

First of all I'm registered, but since 4 days, I can't login anymore:"Your member account is inactivate, please try again later." Always got this message. Someone know why?

Now to the main reason for this topic: Yesterday, I've ####ting to burn dc games and like many ppl in this forum, my first choice for it was discjuggler. So I tried to burn a cdi image with my Teac W12EB ( I've read in the forum that this burner can't burn dc games, but it can, just continue reading), without success. Burned 4 coasters with this damn prog, using different speeds like 12x, 8x and 4x even 1x. So instead of sticking around with dj, I use cdi2nero to convert the image for Nero. Then I burned it with 12x. For my surprise it works in my dc, but after 10 min I try to load the game again and it failed. I've tried to load the game 10 times and it only works twice. So I change the burning speed to 8x: And this time the chance of loading the game was increased: load 10 times, works 5 times. After I burned the same Image with 4x the games load perfectly 10 out of 10.
So my advice for all: If you have probs with dj, just switch to Nero and burn only with 4x, I've figured out that the laser calibration of the dc is not the same for all: So there are dreamcasts who can load games, which are burned with 12x and some can't, that's the reason to burn only with 4x: Games burned with 4x works (mostly) for all (I tried it on 5 different dcs). And ppl, who says that it doesn't matter how fast you burn a dc game, are wrong: The real prob behind all this is the really small first audio session (only 300 sectors mostly): If this session is burned to fast and the dc laser calibration is not good, you will directly guided to the menue with the 4 icons and got the message to insert a dc game. If that is the case, you can be sure, that you have burned to fast. Just use 4x and you will be happy!
You can even burning bin/cue isos with this method: I've succesfully burned Street Fighter 3 Double Impact, which came in bin/cue format. Many ppl had probs with burning this game, so here is the method i use:
1. Apply the pal/ntsc detection patch on it.
2. Use bin2boot to convert the patched image to a cdi image.
3. Use cdi2nero to convert the cdi image to a nero image.
4. double click on the nero image and burn it with 4x
5. Have fun with it!

Now to the "copy back up dc games" prob": I tried it with clone cd and with dj and both prog just produces coasters. This time I was more careful and tried it with each prog only once and ended up with 2 coasters. So I was thinking about a way to burn the backed up games with good old Nero: I just use dj to create a cdi image (default settings) of the backed up game and then convert it with cdi2nero to a Nero image, burned it with 4x and voila, the game works perfectly!

So guys try Nero if you have probs with other progs(or not). Since I use Nero, all games (now around 15) I burned with it, works all perfectly, but don't forget to burn only with 4x!
