7-Zip has these options:

-snh : store hard links as links
-snl : store symbolic links as links
to include Symbolic Links instead of the Linked files. Is there a similar functionality in FreeArc? Couldn't find info in the application.
If anyone knows then please give a reply.
I've have made several modified copies of a Game, and don't want to compress same files again and again.

Edit : -x and --exclude works for Symbolic links.
