Well I got it to work like Kuso-kun explained
And that was on XP with NWN patched to 1.20 and using
the Deviance 1.19 crack. Now my problem is I can't get it to work on my Win98 rig. The "hosts" file is called hosts.sam found in the windows dir,there's also one called Lmhosts.sam in there too.
I tryed rebooting after making the changes to the host.sam and that didn't work. I try a fresh fresh install with a different key and that didn't work either. I get to the create account screen when it gives me the invalid key screen. Hmm.. so I think it has somthing to do with that hosts file. Is there another way to make bind nwmaster.bioware.com to my local rig in Win98? I can't find the 1.19 patch from bioware.
And I wish I'd been paying more attention when I did it in XP cuz I don't remember exactly what happened when I created my account...it just worked
