The DVD burner is to burn DVD-R's... You can put a dvd on a CD-R without a dvd burner (need dvd drive and cd-r drive) ITS CALLED RIPPING........BUT YOU CAN'T BURN A DVD-R with a CD-R DRIVE!!!
