Pureley for copying cd's, you can't go wrong with CloneCD - as long as it's compatible with your hardware.

Install clonecd, and build an image file first of the disk you're trying to copy. Disc-to-disc copying raises the chances of getting errors, wheras building an image file first will practically guarantee that you can burn this image with no problems.

Also, how's your system setup? It's best to connect your DVD-ROM and writer on a seperate IDE channel (slave channel), but some manufactuers connect cd-roms and hard drives on one channel to cut down on bying cables.
