Read sub dhannels (audio and data), slow read, abort on read errors--amplify weak sectors (if available--depending on version).
Slow burn, DON'T REPAIR SUBCHANNEL DATA, close disc.
You may need to play with Sector regeneration and/or laser calibration (try not using them first).
Use high quality 650 MB media--silvers at least of the 12X variety or better. I say 650 MB because I've read some mod chips for PS2 don't run 80 minute (700) cdr's very well, it might be a problem here as well. If you are using newer media formats (32X or higher), you may need a firmware upgrade for better compatability. My Lite-on wouldn't read half my 32X silvers unless I cleaned them and buffed them good first--then I updated the firmware and they burn flawlessly now.
