Well, itīs like this:

Safedisc 2 does not store itīs information in the subchannel area, unlike Securom 2 (and 1) which does this. This means that all you need is a reader that is capable of fast error skip, and a writer that does correct EFM encoding. This is exactly what the Philips writers do. Unluckily, they donīt do Securom, but the main problem these days are Safidisc 2.

Iīve got me a LiteOn 24x10x40 which makes perfect copies of everything. Except for Safedisc 2. The copies are only readable in the LiteOn itself. But, since I love that drive, that is no problem for me.
