If you like you can eamil me the rom. ive got some heder tools here that may kickstart it and i can test it on real hardware.
see if it works on the gba itself..
also got a small handfull of emulators on hand. who knows may work on a defrint emu.
if it works on a defrint emu ill send the emu instaler to you along with the websight asoceated with it case u dont trust me
