Yeah, Mr. B pretty well summed it up as regards copying.

Is is extremely important to get as much info as you can about your writer - hopefully before you get a chance to buy it. I used to use Nero and a Philips 2x writer to copy just about anything, but Nero isn't fully comptible with my Traxdata writer - hence why like many others out there Iv'e got several cd-r programs for copying stuff. CloneCD is very good at doing 1-to-1 copies of games, including Dreamcast self-booters (albeit they load slightly slower when getting to the Sega logo screen!!). Everybody seems to rate the Plextor drives working with CloneCD. I guess it's just a case of trial and error.

Iv'e found that if your writer can't do a full RAW read, you can simply purchase a CD-ROM drive that will: copy from this drive in RAW mode onto your writer. CloneCD has some good tips and suggestions for the best writers to use.
