It also depends on what writer you have and what kind of cd's you want to back up. Try for yourself which combination of burn program + cd-r media works best for you.

Note that most PC games are protected. You either have to make a perfect copy so that the cd check proggys "think" that you have the original cd inserted or you have to used cracked program files.

The best program to make perfect 1:1 copies of a cd is clone cd. It doesn't work with every writer though and it cannot always copy games protected with Safedisc 2. Also, it takes a pretty long time to read the original cd.

Often it is easier to use a crack. Copy the files from the original disc to your harddrive. Go to www.gamecopyworld.com and download a crack for the pc game that you want to copy. Simply follow the instructions given by the gamecopyworld and in the text files provided with the crack. (Usually you have to replace the orginal program file with the cracked one). Then you can use pretty much every program to burn the files on a cd.
