Also the backup copy must be inserted into regaular cdrom drive to play. Backup copy DOESNOT work in CD recorder. Safedisc2 method can recognize the cdr or original cd due to double protection. What burner are you using - also CCD4 won't help ALL burners achieve this.
Also - it is possible to play the game in a burner when you enable Hide CD-R Media in the Clone CD Tray to get round the ATIP check.
