Green-backs??? I haven't seen a single Gold/Green CD-R for at least two years now!!!

If you mean Silver/Silver or Gold/Gold Phthalocyanine CD-Rs, they do NOT damage your CD-R drive and they're perfectly okay to use in any CD-Recorder. In fact, if you have a faster 12x, 16x, 20x, or 24x burner, Gold dye or Silver dye is better for the recorder because it is designed for higher recording speeds.
