I've a 64M flash cartridge and I have to patch every game that saves to EEPROM, cause my cartridge only has SRAM. The 256M should have EEPROM, so shouldn't have a problem with these games. That's why I'm a bit confused.
Anyway you could try
this program. And use the EEPROM patching.
