Sorry - this may not be exactly what you're looking for but there again it's wortha try..

You know those liquid-based cd cleaners? Could you "soak" the topside of the DVD, like a damp piece of kitchen tissue, so that it comes loose? Effectivily this wouldn't harm the underside of the disc at all.

Are you familiar with "RS" components? They sell a lot of cleaning solutions via their large catalogue, at a decent price.

perhaps they may be able to point you in the right direction.

Some of these companies shoudn't be allowed to manufacture such labels if they're gonna fail like this after a while..

I'd be interested to know if you have any luck with this non-abrasive method.
