Clony XXL is a great program which scans the CD to tell you what protection is being used on it. It also then gives you the correct settings to use in Clone CD to copy it (hardware dependent of course).
Remove Easy CD-Cremator as it causes to many problems. Don't use on-the-fly. Instead copy to an image file. If the game is protected with Safedisk 2, then the errors from 800-10000 are normal. Enable Fast Error Skip when reading (Clony XXL will tell you this).
If you drive is not capable of correct EFM coding -
check here - then enable Amplify Weak Sectors when burning the game if it's Safedisk 2 (also note that AWS won't work for the newest version of SD2 (2.51) - I don't think Civ3 is 2.51 ne way. Get Safedisk Analyser if you want to check.
