first of all, check that you plugged all ribbon cables back in properly.
second, check the connections on the back of the board, you might have mixed something up.
does it recognize the memory card? if not, the dvd controller chip was blown.. and then you got a serious problem.

try uninstalling the chip again and see if it works then.
