Question

Since you guys are talking about capacitors...

What kind could I use to replace the small yellow microcap that connects point 2 of a
NEO mod on V4 board! I had so much trouble trying to get a MOD to work and different
diagrams had it going to either side of the microcap, about the 3rd time I soldered
to it the metal end came off!

I replaced it with another microcap from a dead PSX 9001, not exactly the same color
so it's probably not the same value, whatever value those tiny things are supposed
to be, I don't know!!? PS2 seems to run fine without that cap but MOD chip would not
work without it! Also the USB MOD I finally got working only boots about 2/3rds of
the time, possibly cuz of the unknown cap I replaced!?

I'm also scared I might cause damage my PS2 with this unknown microcap!

Where does this resistor you guys talk about go?

I don't understand Capacitors! You'd think a 100V Cap would charge to 100 Volts!?
and this is safe with a 3 Volt laser!? I put a 50V 1mf cap on my USB MOD.
