Okay its a very old topic, but if someone is interested how to play without CD... (I've nowhere found an answer to that).
Download fixed *.exe here.
Copy DISK1 (small file) from the CD into install directory.
Open TRUCK.ini and change 'source' to install. directory.
Done.
