Also I have the worst cd burner in the world (a zip650) and used adaptec easy cd creator, and the copy instaled and played too. This leads me to believe my version isnt copy-protected??! Can't be!
Whatever your version is, just swap the exe file over! And it'll work fine probably!

Zip650 weren't that bad, they could do the older versions of sd2 while others couldn't. I made back of DFLW and ToNY hawk 2
