The solution is very simple since a cracked exe is available. Although I have to wonder how the exe was unsafedisc'd for no-cd check if the original update can't be.
quakergamer, did you do the following?
Install legitimate 130. Copy folder. Update to 140. Compare both using file-sync program and package changed files? It seems since the update is so much larger that some files may be missing from what you have made available.
