Using Clone CD to make backups of games I own

I am using a TEAC CD W-54E as a reader/writer, using the Clone CD program. I am trying to make backups of games that I have purchased. When I use the Clone CD program, it creates an image, and later I use that image to create the disc. Everything seems to go fine until I attempt to use the backup to run my game. It just doesnt work. What follows are some things that I have done/not done with regard to the program. Can someone tell me why I can not create a usuable backup?I have tried every conceivable combination of options, clicking and unclicking tabs, clicking only the ones you have said. On the read; I have checked dont report read errors, read subchannel from data, read subchannel from audio, i have NOT checked abort on read error, i have checked fast error skip, and I have also checked intelligent bad sector scanner, on the fast error skip, i have the read retries selected at zero
and left the error correctio to the software. For the write I have three options writing in raw sao+sub, raw sao or just sao. Also on the write I can perform laser calibration, simulate the writing, and close after last session.Bearing in mind that I have the TEAC CD W54-E as a writer, why will the program not work for me? When I look at a copy that I clone via my computer, every file looks like it is in place. I can only assume it is not writing the error or "hidden" files. My burner is fine, I burn audio CDs constantly, is this software just not compatable? I have ruined countless CDR discs trying to make legal backups of games I own..............
